This began as a writing exercise for me. I was trying to write something about, or from the perspective of, someone very different than me. But maybe I'm incapable of that because it ended up with more autobiographical elements than I might like to admit.
The Sorrow Keeper
This story was rolling around inside my head for a while before I finally tried to write it down. It began in church, when there was a passage about heaven having no sorrows. That sounds nice on the surface, but I startied wondering what parts of our humanity would be lost, or undeveloped, if we truly had no sorrows.
